Free Adult Dental Clinic and Children’s Dental Health Month

by FreeDentalWork.org Staff on February 20, 2013

The Talbot County Council proclaimed this month Children’s Dental Health Month in Talbot County, and next month, the Eastern Shore will see its first-ever free dental services marathon for adults.

Choptank Community Health Services Inc. has a school-based dental program that served 468 young patients last year with preventive dental treatments. Those who were identified as having dental disease that required restorative care were referred to dentists in the Choptank health centers.

In a three-day blitz, adults can get free dental care at the Wicomico Youth and Civic Center in Salisbury on a first-come, first-served basis in an event called Eastern Shore Mission of Mercy 2013.

The event is a free, comprehensive adult dental clinic. No appointments will be available. Participants must be 18 years and older, and no children are permitted in the civic center during the clinic.

It will startThursday afternoon, March 14, with a patient pre-screening from 1 to 4 p.m.
